I applied as a Pre-Med student with a Psych major...but I have always had an interest in Business. When I submitted my app (in september), I was going through one of my 1 month spurts of wanting to be a doctor. But now I realize I want to be in the Business school--or at least try it out.

Does Wash U allow you to take classes in every school, or would I have to transfer to the Business school? How difficult is internal transferring & trying classes out? Is there a "shopping period"?

Call them and see if you can transfer before things get rolling - It's easiest to start off in the b-school, as you'll be able to take the intro class with all other b-school freshmen, and that'll help you decide if you want to stick with business, and potentially where to go in terms of a major.

If you can't get a transfer early, i wouldn't worry about it... I specifically applied this year to the College of Arts and Sciences and got put into the engineering school instead: to my understanding any student can take classes in any other school, so for your first year at least this shouldn't cause any problems.
