How many residency hours do you need to have at UT to be able to transfer into the College of Natural Sciences if you're a student at the College of Liberal Arts?

EDIT: How many residency hours would you need to transfer into CNS internally if you got accepted into COLA as a transfer student from a two year college?

I’m transferring over to CS and the only requirement for hours is that you can’t have any more than 60 hours in residence. I don’t know if this applies to all of CNS though.

Really? I talked to an adviser from UT who suggested I don’t apply into CNS because I don’t have the calculus credit, and delay my transfer a semester. When I asked her why she said that the colleges within UT have certain residency requirements. She said a student who transfers needs to complete 24 hours at UT before being able to transfer into Engineering. When I asked her about CNS she said she didn’t know their requirements.

So if that’s the case, I can transfer as soon as I get in (assuming if I get in, but rejected from CNS).

Were you a transfer or have you been a UT student since you were a freshman?
