Internal transfer Mccombs

I am currently attending ACC with intention to transfer to UT Mccombs(Accounting major).I know which classes UT Austin prefers for transfer students. My question is a bit different.

Consider and evaluate the two scenarios and then answer my question.

1) I complete all REQUIRED courses for Mccombs with GPA of 4.0, great essays, volunteer experrience etc. I get accepted.

In this case how many credits should I take at ACC from the( UT recommened transfer course list) in addition to the required ones? ALL of them or leave some credits to take along with MAJOR courses at Mccombs, to get a nice well balanced schedule later?

2) For some odd reason I dont get accepted into Mccombs but i do get accepted as a transfer student. I know UT requires 24 hours in residence for internal transfer. AT the moment Should I "Leave/keep on side' some of the lower division classes just as a safety net(in case I dont get admitted to Mccombs) in the first place.

P.S meaning I will have "credits' to take toward the 24 hours requirement without going into my junior year(which UT fronws upon) if need be

Hope I have made sense toy you, I wil try to summarize: I want to keep all my bases covered.

Take all transfer courses at ACC and apply as transfer student to UT. I dont get admitted to Mccombs. At that point Which classes I will have to take to meet 24 hours in residence requirement? Will I be able to pick up minor to satisfy the 24 hours requirement

Or play safe: take required plus some other courses at ACC so i will be ready for any situation(internal or external transfer)

Which course sequence is harder at UT? US history314K, 315L or Chemistry 301,302.

Thankyou for all the help

Chem will be tougher at UT, it is a weed out class IIRC. How many credits do you have now? That is kind of important to answer the question.

I am just starting out at ACC following the recommened UT Austin CC transfer guidelines. I dont have any credits at the moment

I would recommend a full load (30 credits) then. maybe 24 if you feel like college will/is too much for you. But, if you can’t pull 30 hours at ACC, you will have problems at UT.
