Hi all,

I've accepted to UT COLA(Econ) for Fall 2010. My first choice was Business and second choise was ECON. I've decided to go to ECON and try internal transfer.

I have read all articles about internal transfer to mccombs in this web. Still have questions and need some advice.
First off, my total transfered credits are 72 hours (CC + my first bachelor degree).

There are requirementss that I found from UT website

Requirements to apply (edited)
1. Twenty-four (24) hours in residence at UT-Austin

Demonstrate Foreign Language Proficiency (one of two ways):

Course Requirements:
Calculus I (M 408K, M 408C, or M 403K)
Calculus II (M 408L, M 408D, or M 403L)
Microeconomics (ECO 304K)
Macroeconomics (ECO 304L)

I have finished all course requirements, aced all and I will take clep test for language requirements(bilingual). I will take 12 hours for this fall and next spring then it will be total 96 credit hours.

I'm worried because I read that "Students with over 90 hours or a completed degree are encouraged to consider other options, such as completing a degree in their current college/school or alternate institution with the option of pursuing an MBA or MPA degree at a later date."

So is it basically over 90 credit hours holder can't apply? Does 90 hours credit mean only earn from UT or overall credit hours? I'm also thinking about doing MPA program. I know ECON students also can do MPA. Is it difficult to getting in MPA program? My overall goal is become an accountant.

Any advice, tips or comments would be greatly appreciated.

P.S anybody goes to Orientation on 28th June?
