Internal Transfer to McCombs?

I am currently a high school senior, but I have been accepted to UT's College of Natural Sciences for Biology next year. However, I'm currently deciding whether or not I should transfer into Business. How hard would it be to transfer into McCombs after my freshman year? I heard that last year's mean GPA for internal transfers was like 3.8, while the cutoff was 3.5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that you also have to have two hours of Spanish, Calculus I and II, and Macro and Micro Economics. I already took two classes of Spanish in high school though.

Would AP Credit count towards these classes, such as Macroeconomics?

If not, am I allowed to take all the required pre-reqs at a community college?

Thanks! :)

bummmmmmmmmp

Yeah, you can get AP credit for those 4 courses and they would count, but not towards your UT GPA. So, you would still need to do well enough to get a high enough GPA to meet the cutoffs. However, GPA is not the only thing they look at, leadership, other activities, types of courses you took, total credit hour load at UT, etc.

You can certainly do it, but there are no guarantees. Only you can decide, because only you know yourself.

The scores needed for each AP exam for UT credit are posted by UT here: (I’m surprised you didn’t do a Google search to check or call the office (did you visit UT yet?)

Bump againnnnn
