yeah i really want to know more about this too. do they look at high school stuff if you are internal trasnferring? what is the most important factor?

Internal transfers to Stern and Tisch are very difficult, and rare, and should not be counted on if you've been accepted to one of NYU's other colleges.

well several ppl around me has done it:))

I initially thought so but apparently it's not that hard.
My advisor told me to take Math & Econ courses during my freshmen year and with a decent GPA, she said, the transfer shouldn't be too difficult. Indeed, I got accepted to Stern by following her advice.

Also bear in mind, Calc I & II and Econ I & II are pretty easy courses to get As in, so your GPA should be high enough :D. Your high school transcripts do matter, but not nearly as much as your college record.
I know of a person who got into Stern with a 4.0 GPA taking Calc/Econ, but had mediocre high school records.

I've heard however, that it is easier to get into Stern as a Junior internal transfer than a sophomore one, so that may be something to keep in mind.

What about internally transfering to Tisch?

If you dont mind can you tell us your GPA just to give us an example. Also if you dont make it as a transfer soph year can you try again junior year?
