internation applicants chances and needs some advices

Hi,
I am an international applicants from south korea. I go to boarding school in maine. I applied the college of sciences, intended major; First: bio, second: business

My stats;
1800 New SAT
TOEFL 260 out of 300
3.5 GPA
Good recommendations and solid Ecs and good essays

I applied UT really early like nov 1.
Any chances? Is it really hard to get in UT as an international student?
I already got into U wisconsin Madison. I cannot decide between UW and UT. It is tough decision for me? Is the Austin good city? If yes, in what extent? Thank you.

to be honest, the overwhelming majority of UT students are texan residents. in fact, i think the stat is that over 60% of UT freshmen are the top 10% of their class in texas (someone correct me if im wrong). therefore, it is somewhat more difficult to get in out of state, however, im not sure what the situation would be for an international student. you might have a shot though...im not too sure. and yeah, Austin is an okay city. the weather is temperate throughout the fall/winter, obviously its a big party school, its the capital of TX...thats about all i know about austin, haha

although, applying as bio first choice will raise your chances, as applying to any natural sci department is easier than most other departments. i applied as biochem and got in real quick. ill be honest and say that you probably have little chance of getting into business.

good luck

do u know if you got in to UT yet? i have almost the same stats as u i still don't know. although i am an international tx resident... i applied in mid-nov...let me know

Actually, Austin is an amazing city, esp. the parts around the UT campus/downtown-area. There's so much to do, the campus is nice, and the weather is never too cold :) This is from a person that has visisted the UT Austin numerous times (my bro goes there).

Austin is probably the most amazing city i have ever been to and i've been to a lot of places

ive lived in austin for the past 7 years. i go to high school about 10 miles from campus, just up mopac.
austin is by far the most vibrant, exciting city i have seen. it really grows on you. i cant speak for everyone, but i can speak for a vast majority when i say that austin is the greatest city on earth. you guys will love it here, and if you dont.... you can always go to college station ewwwwwwwwwwwwww

college station is really boring
it sucks
