OK, here's my dilemna. I am currently deciding between George Washington University and the Shreyer Honors College at Penn State-University Park. My major is international affairs, or at Penn State, international politics. Naturally, since GW is in Washington, it seems like the obvious choice . . .except it would require a hefty loan to go there (like over $60,000). GW is the most expensive school in the country.
The honors college really has a lot of advantages (writing a thesis, faculty advisors, first pick for honors classes, honors housing), so it is by no means a BAD decision to go there. Both schools are equally as good in my mind. But is attending a school in Washington a priority for an international affairs major, and worth the giant loan?

Both are great schools, but I don't think it would be worth it to take out so much money just for tuition.

By the way - GWU isn't the most expensive school in the USA. lol It's the eighth. http://money.cnn.com/2004/10/21/pf/college/expensive_colleges/index.htm

Thanks for the correction. It makes me feel a little better.

lol You're welcome.
