Does Colgate University have international alumni clubs? Like an alumni club in Singapore or Hong Kong or China or Japan or Mexico or other places?

I believe that it does in Tokyo. There are some alumni discussion on LinkedIn about finding alumni around Shanghai… but there are definitely Colgate alumni in Asia!

By far the biggest active international alumni club is in London, mainly due to the large number of alumni engaged in banking, consulting, education, media, industry and entertainment. Also, there are more transient alumni attending UK graduate schools such as LSE, Oxford and Cambridge. Then there are the 2-3 study groups in Art/Art History, English, Economics and History each semester with opportunities for internships and mixing with alumni at their welcome parties.

There are also clubs in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore. Their activity level depends on having consistent leadership and a sufficient number of interested alumni. I have no doubt that they will sooner or later step up their pace and scope as demographic shifts in the student body make that possible.

Colgate has an extremely engaged alumni body- as anyone who knows Colgate will tell you. They sponsor over 320 events per year- from send off and accepted student parties, events around visits faculty make to different locales, parties before away football and ice hockey games, and a Reunion on campus for 2,000 every year. In fact, Colgate has more events per year than any other LAC- by far- apart from Williams.

There’s definitely a club in Tokyo - when I went on the study abroad program to Japan they hosted a dinner with the study group.
