International Business As An Undergrad ?

Say you don't want an MBA, but you simply want to major in something business-related during your undergrad years. Would International Business be a major that offers broad opportunities ? I'm thinking it is a bit specific, unless you work for a multinational corporation. Also, what kinds of jobs exactly could you get with this type of degree, working either overseas or in the US ?

Yes, but many schools offer IB as a co-major or minor only. You should consider that. I was really interested in IB at first also, but I realized that for many of the schools I liked IB was not a major. You usually have to take something else. And yes, IB as an undegrad will offer broad opportunities. Be sure to study abroad too to understand IB even more and to look more "international." I dunno what kinda jobs you get, but I would strongly recommend going to grad school eventually. I am quite sure the salary gap is substantial, and who doesn't want to go to college for 2 more years. (granted it's a good one).

i was planning on IB too.. im in umich and planning to apply to Ross B School in the sophmore year.. i think IB along with an econ major would be a good option since both the disciplines seem to complement each other.. what do you people think ??

You might want to check out University of South Carolina's International Business program.

lampard, i think that would look good to future employers, and they certainly do complement eachother, thus widening your opportunities in the future.
