INTERNATIONAL CLASSES EQUIVALENT TO AP COURSES

Should I ask to my school counselor to report, somewhere in the Common App, that the classes I take, like Chemistry, Physics, Biology and other subjects, have a curriculum equivalent to what is taught at AP Courses ? In my country a lot of subjects are mandatory (approximately 16) for all schools, and a major part of them have a level of difficulty correspondent to the level of most AP Courses. I’ve read that usually it is better to get B+ in AP Physics C than to get A+ in Dance, for example, and I thought it would be better to let admissions officials know the structure of my curriculum for probably my GPA wouldn’t be so impressive if they didn’t take the courses taught into consideration. (I’m the best student of my class of 65 students, and probably the best of the entire high school too; besides that, I’m going to struggle in order to get a final GPA of 3,6 out of 4. My school performance is about 89%)

Yes, you can indicate that subjects …,…,…,… Are equivalent in rigor to AP/IB, and subjects …,…,…,… equivalent to Honors.

Do not convert GPA. (They dont convert numerically. A 14/20 in Brazil, Iran, France, and the US have very different meanings.)
Make sure your rank (#1 in school) is apparent. Your guidance counselor should explain that only …% students nationally reach an 85%, and only …% reach 89-90%.
