<p>I have recently gotten accepted by UCLA's International Development Studies(IDS) and UCB's political science. As you may know, both programs are very competitive and attractive, which makes it tough for me to decide on which school to go. I will sincerely appreciate it if you help me make a better decision by providing for information about the two respective programs in terms of the quality of programs and career opportunities.</p>
<p>Below is some information about myself and a few questions I would like you to answer:</p>
<p>-I am an international student
-I don't yet have a clear view as to my professional career, but I am interested in working for the United Nations, its development program agencies, think-tanks, and other public/private social enterprises. I am also interested in working as a diplomat.
-Going to graduate school is an option after getting my bachelor degree.
-I am hoping to participate in study abroad program that count as college credits
-I was admitted to UCB for the Spring 2012 (I am thinking to do internship until the semester if I go to UCB)</p>
<p>Questions
-UCLA's IDS is an impacted major, accepting only about 50 transfer students in 2009. Will this be an advantage when I try to get a job?
-If anyone does or did in the past major in IDS at UCLA, what was it like?
-Is it difficult to be admitted to UCB's poli-sci?
-Which do you think would look better in my resume?
-In the end, which school would you choose if you were me?</p>
