International Financial Aid at Colby

If an international applicants needs almost 95% aid, how much will it affect the eventual admission decision.

Do internationals needing so much aid get accepted at all ?

I know the decisions will be out within a day but I am very tense since I have been rejected from Hamilton college.

And the saddest part is that my uncle is ready to pay a lot only if I can show him an acceptance.. I have added a letter stating this so will the college understand this that eventhough my father's resources might be pretty low, my actual EFC will be much better.

Although Colby is not “need blind”, they do a pretty good job with financial aid once you are accepted. I am an international student at Colby who gets about 95% aid from the school and I know of others who have similar aid. They try and meet all the aid requirements of accepted students so I think your biggest worry would be getting accepted rather than getting a good aid package once you get in. What you will get in terms of aid will depend on what you write in your financial application form so please be as honest as possible so that they don’t make you pay more than you can afford. Your application is key. Good Luck.

^^…can you please post your stats…I’m also thinking of colby and I am international student seeking aid.

Same here. I’m from the Netherlands and don’t have very wealthy parents.

Yeah. Can you post here your stats? Like SAT score?

Oh I didn’t realize that post was made more than a half year ago?!

Hey, I’m applying as International too, what happened with your situation?
