International - Freshman or Transfer ?

<p>Hi
I'm an international student currently studying in USA.
I have good academic standing & want to apply to MIT as a course 2 major.</p>

<p>I have already done two semesters in USA. My question is can I apply to MIT as freshman, instead of a transfer ? I don't want any credits to be transferred, but just get admission based on my application ? Is it possible ?</p>

<p>I don’t think so, unless you’re at your current university as an early enrollment student.</p>

I’m in my freshman year of college. Can I apply as a transfer student even though I’ve only completed one term so far?
Yes. Because you finished high school and will complete two terms of college by the time you enter MIT in the fall, you are eligible to apply as a transfer applicant. You are not eligible to apply as a freshman.
