International graduates that attended schools in the US, did you get job offers?

So I see a lot of threads on this forum asking about the possibilities to work in the US after they graduate. I thought it would be a good idea with a thread where international graduates can share their stories whether they got a job offer and sponsored with H1-B or not. I hope to get some some answers from international graduates who attended schools in the US.

Did you graduate with an undergraduate or postgraduate degree?
Where did you graduate from?
What was your major?
Did you do any internships during the time you studied?
After you graduated, did you end up with a job offer that would sponsor H1-B or did you have to return home?

These are just some quick questions i made up, you can of course if you want to share more or less information.

Even if you have h1b sponsorship, the lottery to get one is about 25-30%.

Is that just for bachelor graduates? or including masters and phd?

@paul2752

The lottery? Its for both undergraduate and postgraduate degree holders. However if you graduate with at least a masters degree from an American university you would be eligible for one of the 20.000 exclusive visas.
I think theres 65.000 “regular” visas every year that everyone with at least a bachelors degree can qualify for, and then theres 20.000 “exclusive” visas to graduates with a masters degree or higher from an American university. So the chances to win one is higher if you graduate with a masters degree.

The government publishes a full list of the positions that a labor certification was sought for (the first step in H-1B or work-based green card sponsorship) complete with company name, industry, occupation, job title, skill level and salary.
