International Relations at Stanford?

How is the IR program at Stanford? Are there good internship opportunities, study abroad opportunities in Washington DC etc.? Are job prospects good for IR majors... ie. with major world governance bodies?
Also, how competitive are study abroad programs?

The reason I'm asking is because I recently got in to Georgetown SFS and although about one day ago, I was totally sure I was going to Stanford, now I'm not so sure anymore.

I'm interested too

I know the polisci professors specializing in IR are very very good. That's all I know.

think Condoleezza Rice. wasn't she a professor at stanford?

she was the Provost...mab she taught, too...idk for sure.

wow that's so cool! i had no idea!

From what I've heard, the international relations major at stan is excellent. Yes, there is a special Stanford in Washington which allows students to intern there. Plus, it seems like they always bring in speakers on different international topics.

I plan to major in IR at Stanford too, by the way.
