<p>No why would it be 93? The series would start repeating again so the 373th letter will be an A…hence 94. I think he meant that “famous” is not actually famous since he would be famous only to other poets…hence irony.</p>

<p>The list says it’s mutual acquaintence but the unanimous consensus in other threads is that it was raised by people who were friends. Correct ?</p>

<p>hmm I think “famous” was reference from another source… it says “to adapt” this definition… but although I think irony makes sense… I totally am confused with this one</p>

<p>what did you guys choose for the food passage? food is absurd or food is convenient?
Also, for the comic book one did you guys choose educational value one?</p>

<p>I think the reason the author used quotation marks was to emphasize the irony behind the how famous contemporary poets are. The whole quotation serves to emphasize the the current status of American poets and/or add legitimacy to the author’s thesis, but the usage of quotation marks around famous really serve to underscore the irony of the situation.</p>
