<p>u can send in some additional essay or something that wud reflect how more u like the school or may be emil the adomm telling them abt ur keen interest .. or even update them of some latest development.. or something else.. u cant just sit arnd and pray but u have to do something also.</p>

<p>Lakshmi: couldn't you find out who's the specific person who'll be dealing with the applications coming in from romania and keep in touch with him/her? u know, express more interest, let him/her know about latest achievements? though i know it's not very easy_ after all, i check every email i send to my ED college a thousand times because i'm so paranoid that i might have a spelling/grammar mistake. someone told me it also helps to attach an extra letter/essay saying how you really want to go to a certain school if that is the case. colleges apparently like it when students really badly want them. :)</p>
<p>: ))) : don't feel sad/depressed/angry. i know a guy from my school who still hasn't received his SAT scores. CB is this inefficient, good-for-nothing board. i wish all of us could sue them! </p>
<p>updates: vassar received by application on friday, 4th november, 2005 at 9:11 AM (DHL gave me the exact time, so, hehe). i got a confirmation email last night. but they still haven't received my SAT II scores... so once again, CB goes to prove how moronic it is. i listed vassar among the four colleges that CB is supposed to send my scores to. can anyone please help me with this and let me know how i can make sure that CB sends my scores to vassar?</p>
<p>ohh, another thing. have any of you had interviews? do you know what sort of questions are asked? can you give me some questions that i may want to answer if if were to sort of give a written interview?</p>
<p>about interviews...didn't have the chance...won't have the chance. kee, most probably your profile on vassar's data base has't been updated.I say don't worry. your scores will be there on time(if they aren't already.) on the Brown forum many were complaining about this, then they said everything was ok :)</p>
<p>dunno...was thinking about sending an email to them.... but sent one to a professor of the math dpt more than a month ago...still no answer. sometimes I just think my email was just so stupid! dunno. I'd want to email them, and then I'm afraid I'd just say stupid stuff and they will get annoyed with me. and really don't know who to email. :confused:

<p>i sent a "why vassar" essay too... it was part of the application. i mailed a music professor to ask him if i could send a music sample in bengali but i didn't hear from him and eventually decided not to send any supplementary material.</p>
<p>vassar says it has put my information into their information management system. it says on the CB website that "Scores sent by mail on 4th Nov"... does this mean that they've mailed the COLLEGES my scores? i think i'll email CB and find out what's going on. </p>
<p>i think you CAN send in additional stuff after the deadline. i think the required stuff is supposed to reach them by nov 1st but if anything new has happened that you want to add to your application, you can always email / mail it after the deadline.</p>
<p>anyone else... what would you ask me in an interview if you were an admissions officer? ;)</p>
<p>From my Princeton interview last year, here are few I remember:
-Why Princeton? (in your case, Vassar)
-What is your favourite subject and why?
-What is your most important EC and why?
-What do you like to do outside school? Sports etc.
-Where have you lived (other countries) and how did you like those places?
-Do you have any questions on the university? (always have some prepared otherwise it looks bad)</p>
<p>It turns out into a discussion usually...at least try to make it into one. Find some things that are common between you and your interviewer and discuss, and relate it back to the university from time to time, but not too often.</p>

btw, I POSTED MY APPS YESTERDAY... nad will fill the common app tomorrow... and to tell u all, m in email contact with the adcom assistant dean... she is such a sweet lady and by now, she even remembers my name now... :)... and I tell her my passion for the college time to time... so guys and gals good luck with ur ED too... and where is mine?... wish me luck people!</p>

<p>i can't pay more than 7% either... so everyone needs an almost full ride, Deference. Don't be disheartened. i wish more schools were need blind, but even then there are many non need blind schools who give a LOT of aid to internationals. check out bates; i've heard they are very generous with international fin aid.</p>
