Hi! I'm an International Student from Singapore, currently waiting for GCE A levels. My grades aren't that stellar, so I probably need help with the choice of schools. Do continue reading... :D

ACT: 29
Eng: 25
Math: 33
Reading: 29
Science: 29

SAT: 1900
CR: 630
M: 740
W: 530 (NOOOOOO I screwed this up, unfortunately.)

Should I retake the SAT in January? I am not in my country on December 6th, unfortunately... :( Will the scores reach on time?

I take the GCE O levels in 2012:
English: A2
E Math: A1
A Math: A1
Physics: B3
Chemistry: A2
Geography: B3
Combined Humanities: B3
Malay: B3
Higher Malay: B4

The only grade I got for an A level subject is Project Work. I got an A. Btw, I know Asian as a whole is not a minority, but Malay as a race is a minority here in Singapore.

Predicted Grades (judging from how I feel about the papers)
H1 General Paper: B
H2 Math: A
H2 Chemistry: B
H2 Physics: B
H1 Geography: B

ECs (I'll consider from 2011 to 2014)

2011-2012 - Choir (member)
- London College of Music - Distinction (Ensemble)
- Completed 84 hours of Community Service (from 2009 to 2012)
- Represented School at Local Competition/Exhibition "Biodiversity - Connecting with Nature" Painting Contest
- Singapore Youth Festival (Gold)
* I wasn't that great or outgoing in secondary school *

2013-2014 - Malay Dance & Photography & Youth Executive Committee (YEC) of Jurong Central
- Singapore Youth Festival (Distinction) for Malay Dance Junior College
- Colours Award (for Malay Dance)
- EAGLES Award for Service (Not from School Activities)
- Held position in Photographic Society: Chief Photographer
- Assistant Environmental Officer of YEC
- In total, I served at least 180 hours of community service (not including school activities)
- Went for Outward Bound Singapore
- In YEC, we organised constituency-wide events that reach out to 100-10,000 people. The most recent ones are Halloween event and 42km Night Cycling.
- If it counts... regular blood donor?
- There are other ECs which I can't recall. Personal achievements are few; I'm more of a team member. this is really disadvantageous, the more I think of it...
- 2013 Certificate of Academic Achievement for being in the top 25% in terms of academic performance in the level (out of 700+ students)

Colleges I'm aiming for (numbered according to preference I think)
1. Bryn Mawr College
2. Amherst
3. Wellesley
4. Mount Holyoke

Require Financial Aid? Yes. I am able to pay $10-15k a year, though. I really do need help with assessing the schools that I want to apply. I didn't have enough time to explore the Liberal Arts Colleges.
