International Student Chances???

Hi,
Ever since I visited the campus, I was helplessly in love. I did both the tour and the interview, and I'm going back for my second visit, where I'll be able to attend a class and have lunch with a current student(so excited!!!!!!!!)

But sadly, I'm international..which makes admissions competitive,
and adding on to that, I need a LOT of financial aid, which makes admissions even more competitive.

On the website, Wellesley states that they have very limited spots for international students who need financial aid, and they will accept and support those who are othe brightest.

As the decision date nears, I'm getting so nervous...I know I don't have the best stats, but

do you think I could be accepted?

Here are my stats:
SAT: 2220 (W:770 Math: 760 CR:690)

I did an on-campus interview with this amazing interviewer. I thoroghly enjoyed my conversation, and hopefully she did as well.

Teacher recs were good, Essay was good-I think it really defined me.

Thanks guys!

Bump! Anybody?

I think you have a good chance of being admitted. Your SAT scores are certainly very good, particularly your math (760) and your writing (760) scores. While your critical reading score could be stronger, it is still close to 700 (690) and if you speak another language then I would certainly think this score is good. Your class rank shows you are in the top 3% of your class and is encouraging. Your APs suggest you have taken some rigorous courses. It would have been nice to see fives on your APs, but everything else looks very good and 4 on an AP exam is still decent.

Your extra curriculuar activities are, in my opinion, very very good, in that they show leadership and consistency: 3 yrs Class President, NHS secretary, WLHS(Language Honor society) secretary/Treasurer, 4 yrs Band-1st Clarinet and Treasurer, 4 years of Volunteering at NMDP-National Marrow Donor Program, 3 years MUN, 3 yrs Varsity Tennis (two varsity letters), not to mention your Black Belt. Your Aps round out your application and suggest you can contribute to the college community with your strong leadership. I really think you have a good chance of beging admitted. Good luck!

Thank you so much!!!
I hope that even though I’m an international with need of financial aid, they will
look favorably upon me…
