International Student: Does my transcript need to show marks along with grades?

We were given marks and grades during the high school, but as our school as not sent that many students to US, they are not sure if they should put both the marks and the letter grade on the transcript (for all years), or if they should just put the letter grades.

They've said that students in the past from our school requested either just grades, or both, and the school complied. Hence, I have to tell them which one I need.

Any advantages or disadvantages to either?

We're doing A Levels btw.

Two good places to get advice about this are the closest advising center of EducationUSA [EducationUSA - Find an Advising Center](http://www.educationusa.info/centers.php#.T6LPKav2Y-k) and [International Students - College Confidential](International Students - College Confidential Forums) The people at both places will have useful information for you.
