I am an international student and I am currently unsure if I should send a high school transcript or just photocopies of my marksheet.

1) Are high school transcripts preferred over plain markheets? ( By admissions committees)

2) I have attended two high schools, one through sophomore year and the other from my junior year. Will my current school be able to certify my freshman and sophomore grades?

Help would be deeply appreciated

I’m guessing, but I think they expect the transcript. Is a “marksheet” your report card? All US kids must send in transcripts, not report cards. Report cards in this country only show the grades for a single quarter or semester. Transcripts show all grades achieved at that school. You would normally also need to ask each school to supply a transcript of your grades. I’m not sure if your current school will show other school’s grades on their transcript.

But, to be sure, call or email the college(s) you are applying to. They know how the school system in each country works so they will be able to tell you exactly what is expected for a person in your situation.

^ Thanks. Yeah a marksheet is close to a report card. But our board exam results( which is of utmost importance) are given as marksheets.

I do know that as International applicants we are not expected to provide transcripts when our school does not give out transcripts

But it’s because of the problem of sending report cards for every exam I’m looking to send transcripts
