International Student FA Chances at Brown

My family would really prefer to have financial aid to come to Brown, but I do not wish for it to affect my chances of getting in…

So from what I heard Brown doesn’t consider financial need when evaluating international applicants until their financial aid budget is exhausted, after which they do consider need.

So if I apply Early Decision to Brown (It is my top choice), will that mean that their budget is less likely to have been exhausted when I apply compared to RD?

It depends on how much aid you need. What I can do tell you, is that if you need close to full aid you won’t get into Brown, as simple as that. Apply to need blind schools. Also, I wouldn’t recommend applying Early Decision if you ask for aid, at most you will be deffered.
