…

Not much left. I know the admission for international student is more competitive than that in US. top Universities admit an average of 3 students in my country per school. The admission rate is usually around 1%.

O...M...G!!!

are you really going to apply to ALL of those schools?!?!?!?!?!?

but anyway, great chance at all. 1600 SAT, great EC's and awards, excellent class rank...

I'm not very confident of myself...
You know international competition...
harsh...
And FA for us is limited...
That's part of the reason I applied to so many Universities
If one gives me FA then I can go...
You see?

both of your school lists are based completely on rankings from us news from what it seems to me. i think you need to do more research on all of the schools and narrow down the huge list to schools that have your major, schools that you can see yourself at, etc because you might receive a shock when you do some research on some of your schools because that rankings list can be very biased and incorrect in some cases. and i also think you need to decide exactly what you're looking for. the second list is made up of only liberal arts schools- so do you want one of those or not?

it comes down to the fact that you're only going to go to one of those schools so you're just going to waste a ton of money applying to that many and sending all of them scores, etc.

as for your chances, i think you have great chances at all of them with your sats and extra curriculars.

good luck!

I just go to know the ED results in my country. Columbia usually admits one student in my city and the one who beat me got a 2400 SAT just by once and hugh loads of ECs. And it's really different when you assess international students and US students. Different. US student have to be excellent. International students asking for aid (as is in my case) have to be exceptional.

Go by fit. A lot of 'lower ranked' (quotes since i hate the USN rankings) colleges dole out generous aid to internationals.

come on every one...
Many of you read my post but didn't reply...

You don't need to type a long reply. Just tell me you think which school can I get into.

Thanks!

OMG, Awesome. Just BUMP.

that's a whole lot of schools. are you sure you want to put yourself through applying to that much?

i'm an international asking for lots of FA too (more than you) but i only applied to 5. i'm just hoping (like, really really really hoping) i get in. :)

you seem to have excellent credentials anyway, so i think you have a shot.

At Wesleyan, you would have to measure yourself against the two eventual winners of Freeman Scholarships that are alloted to China each year. I doubt very much that Wesleyan awards fin/aid to Chinese students outside that competition ( although I suppose it's possible.) Btw, I believe Taiwan is alloted 2 slots, also.
