International Student (Indian) needs Help for Canadian Universities

Hey! guys I am an Indian student recently graduted from high school in India (in 2018). I want to apply in Canadian Universities for my undergraduate studies but I don’t know If I can get in. Please suggest me what should I do. Here are my scores:-

9th class:- Overall average A+(cbse).
10th class;- 10 cgpa(overall A+)(cbse).
11th Class:- 75% (cbse)
12th Class:- 91.6%(cbse) and 92.4% in best of 4.
Giving IELTS next month but expecting 7 to 7.5.
Extra activities:-

  1. Broze medal at National Level Astronomy Olympiad.
    2.Taekwondo Black belt.
  2. State topper for RMS(Military School)
  3. Cricket(inter-School and former member of MGCA cricket club)
  4. Guitar Competions winner (International Red-cross Society and Several Regional ones)

Here it is.I’m looking to apply in top Canadian Universities for Computer Engineering or Chemical(Energy)Engineering.
The universities that I have in my Mind are University of Alberta, Univeristy Of Waterloo, Mcgill, Mcmasters Univeristy… And I’m not super rich so I’ll probably need some Scholarship from College. I will work there if I have to. Can Co-Op help? I will probably take a loan from India to fund my tuition because the maximum my parents can shell out is about c$21000 a year upfront.

Thank You.

I think that you should also look at Dalhousie (in Nova Scotia), and possibly Simon Fraser University and/or U.of Victoria (both in British Columbia). You might also want to consider Memorial University of Newfoundland (which is usually abbreviated MUN).

These would be less expensive than the schools that you listed, and likely to come in quite a bit closer to your C$21,000 number. While all are very good, they are also slightly easier to get into than the schools that you listed.

Scholarships for international students can be hard to find so you will have to research that. Dalhousie comes to mind as a possibility. You will also need to check the rules for employment and whether or not a student visa makes you eligible. If not, you won’t be able to participate in co-op.

Thx

You should start your own thread.

I don’t know about your chances but if you are looking for top business programs you should add Western’s Ivey Business School to your list.

How do you go from 75% mid term to 90%? That’s a huge jump.

I encountered an accident because of that I had to stay at home for 3 months for complete bed rest. during that time my studies were affected badly. 75% is due to that. now i have recovered fully and working hard at my pace.

Glad you’ve recovered and are feeling better (BTW, you “had” an accident, not “encountered” one).
