chances for UBC,Mcgill ,U of T

, just completed grade 11 in india (cbse), I’m an American citizen and a canadian resident…
I want to apply to some of the top colleges in Canada (computer engineering) since there fees are ALOT cheaper,… and I’m assuming there easier to get in??
my grade 9 my grades are
CGPA -8.8

SCIENCE A2
MATH B2
SOCIAL STUDIES A2
ENGLISH A2
FRENCH A2

GRADE 10 CGPA 9.2
SCIENCE A2
MATH B1
SOCIAL STUDIES A2
FRENCH A1-would this be a major plus point???
ENGLISH A1
If I were to apply this year would these grades get me in??my grade 11 marks are pretty low…but in india grade 11 is not a board certified exam and most of the above schools don’t ask for it in “requirements”. I was also wondering how much I would need in grade 12 if I was accepted? thanks in advance! any thing will do

Hi there, I was also accepted to UBC and U of T. Our school was British patterned and we did IGCSE and International AS and A-level. Unfortunately I do not understand your school system above so I can’t comment, but yes they are easier to get into than the top american universities. Ironically it turns out that these unis were more expensive than where I am enrolling due to the financial aid I received. Although American unis are more expensive in general, the financial aid can be great if accepted.

Also check out Waterloo if you’re interested in engineering.

thanks ambitous! , which one would you prefer UBC or U of T , i hear the student body at u of t is huge, and the college is over populated…but the university still outranks UBC,(there both in the top hundred so it doesnt really matter). because of the coop program at wateloo i hear its hard to make friends in the long term, and the student life is generally not that great.
did u have to write SAT?

since I’m an Canadian resident ill get instate tuition ,soo cost isn’t really a problem for me

I forgot to mention that CGPA is out of 10

Hi,
My top choice was U of T because it outperformed the other schools in rankings and is widely regarded as the best uni in Canada, but UBC is also a GREAT option and I have a friend who goes there and he loves it. (Besides the rankings shouldn’t matter too much for domestic students)
Yes I did have to write SATs and I also wrote the subject tests to be safe.

By looking at my grades, are any of these colleges actually in my reach…or am i just too ambitious??(for computer engineering)

hows the computer engineering program at McMaster??
