Hey guys
I should have posted this long ago.
I wanted to make a decision without being influenced by other ppl’s opinions, so I didn’t reach out, and here I am, a few days before Nov Early and still can’t quite decide.
Anyways thank you guys so much for helping. (Sorry I wrote quite a lot)
[Background]:
I am a Taiwanese high school student studying at an American school in Taiwan
I transferred in from the local education system in G9
so as an ESL student my GPA in the first two years were ok but not top
Got a pretty high GPA in my junior year tho
and my counselor explained that in the rec letter, saying that I tried to make the most out of my context as a local transfer.

[Major]:
I am very interested in both computer science and biology/BME and desire a school that will allow me to explore both areas, perhaps major in CS and minor or take electives in bio, or double major if the school is very liberal art oriented and less cutthroat.
I have been thinking about ED
- Duke
- Cornell
- JHU
and also dreaming about (while knowing I have almost no chance at them)
- Harvard
- Stanford
Any suggestions on schools that I might get in with my stats and fit my desire for pursuing both fields? I also do value the social life and spirit quite a lot because it’s going to be my first experience in the states and I want to have a life in the upcoming 4 years too!!
Appreciate any help!! And sorry again for the length!
