Ahoy everyone,

Title says it all.I simply wonder about my chances and experiences of other people's who might have gone thru the similar ways.I'm open any kind of advice, help etc .. Let me give a few basic information about myself.

High School GPA:4.8ish/5, 3rd and 4th grade both beign 5/5 though.
Not the most prestigious high school of Turkey but it's still an Anatolian High School.(Which means you've to take an exam at the end of elementay school and be in top 30k or smth in 600k+ students)

University:Freshman at Istanbul Technical University. My first semester GPA is 3.75 and my second semester GPA will probably be in same range.Placed 4,4kish in national university exam(bout 1,7k million people enters every year).

Activities:Well probably the weakest part.I've only attended about 2 science fairs in high school.Placed 30ish in turkish archery competetion when i was 12 or so.No medals,no inventions or anything like that.I play tennis, football etc but not competitevely.Starting to attend a few tournaments in tennis though.

Why i want to study in America:The main reason is that i'm certainly not satisfied with my major. If you get good grades in turkey you either become an engineer or go to medical school.I was a victim of that.I simply want to study physics but i see little room for any natural science in my country.MIT is as good as any other prestigious colleges in america tbh but it's the first thing that comes to my mind thanks to Gordon Freeman and OCW(Helped me a lot in my first semester.)

So this pretty much sums up current condition.I'm pretty aware that my chance is very low(if it even exists) but still i see no harm in applying. As i said i'm open to any kind of advice feel free to be discouring.

Danke
