International students - few questions

<p>Hey everyone,
The university I go to (not in the US) has an exchange student agreement with UNC and i'm thinking of joining the program. Anyone knows anything about international students at UNC (nothing regarding money, i'm talking more about social stuff) ? and few other things, how's UNC considered academically in the United states? anyone has any idea about the level of the math / computer science deparment (that's my major)? is there any ranking I can look at in order to get a view of the academical level? Is UNC considered a "hard to get in to" college? </p>

<p>forgot to write that, in case it matters, if i do study at UNC it would only be for a semester, so basically i would like to know (as bad as it sounds) what is the level of people that i should expect? of course i can't conclude that high admissions requeriments = high level people, but i think it's a way to get an idea about it.</p>
