What exactly is the process for US students wanting to go to McGill?
I've read the ISS booklet 10 times and I'm still confused. Anyone who has gone through this process already and who could outline the steps to attending McGill I would be very grateful. I UNderstand that the CAQ is required with seems like a pain but what else? Also, how do I prove my parents income and such??
Thanks so much

the first thing you need to do is send in your CAQ pretty much right now, because it takes a while to process. to prove your parents income and do the financial stuff, there are various documents you can give them, i sent them a letter from my dad's job saying that he works for them, and his salary is X dollars a year. your parents also have to sign the financial guardianship form if they are paying for you.

after they send you your CAQ back, you can do the study permit stuff, because they need the CAQ in order to process all those forms. that you can either submit at the visa office in your area, or just get it at the border when you're heading up to Montreal.

i think that once you get your caq, mcgill wants a copy of it sent to them, and when you arrive you need to show them your study permit. call the international student services office for help too, and they sent out a little booklet with information on all the stuff international students have to do, which if you got it is pretty helpful.
