you guys are crazy man..

Hey hopeman...lets hope we both get into williams win-win

Astrix..my center was at st.michaels..guess it doesnt matter now...my essay WAS evaluated and it all turned out all right.

Hey gandalf, I'm glad your essay was evaluated. I'm sure you did very well.

Good for you, Gandalf!

If you could call 720 very well, then..yes

Writing 590
Chemistry 800
Maths IIC 800

can anyone tell me how important SATII writing scores are for international students ??

It depends on where you want to get in. I think it's more important for internationals than for Americans. Because of the int'l quotas, competition between us is very tough.

Math 2C:800
French:800
Writing:750
think I should take the writing test again? are those scores ok for ivy schools?
(SATI: 1520 V800 M720)

And what is Your opinion? Is it enough? Maybe You should have score above 800... It would be easier, You know.

I got 830 on my physics SATII for pointing three minor mistakes, and I hope it make up my awful 770 on IC... But nobody knows until office of admission will send their letters...

what is so bad about 770????

I think writing is VERY important because it shows the person's knowledge in english in depth. and on the HYPS sites, they say that applicants need a full something something of something fluent speaking and something about fluent writing and somthing about understanding 'rapid' spoken english --- so i gues that writing and sat verbal shows that.

axfr, your writing score is probably above normal for intel's.

thanx a lot geniezclone...seems that u are an international as well....where u applying to....

I'm aiming for the Ivies. What about you?

I would just like to say...

I don't see what the point is in obsssessssssing your hearts out about each other's SAT scores...
Of all things.. SAT scores?!?! I am so sick and tired of these countless "SAT SCORES" threads on every single board on CC.

Just all ask yourselves....What is the use of comparing.. sulking or being proud of your scores ... getting jealous, admiring or ridiculing other people's scores?
Yes it my reassure you or give you a boost.
But really.. they are JUST scores.... from a test you took on one Saturday morning of your lives...
And most colleges do NOT place so much importance on these stupid scores... So please let's stop killing ourselves with SAT scores.

It's going to the schools whether we like it or not and they can think whatever they want of them.

I don't have the best scores in the world, and I don't have the worst scores in the world. But I have to confess, I am not a big fan of the SATs...In fact I have much to criticize and rant about..
Anyway, I refuse to be identified, judged and whatever else by stupid SAT scores

lol did you get a bad score?

Im sorry, I don't really know what your problem is.

Its like the saying - "If you got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all"
Likewise -
If you don't want to compare the scores, don't compare them.
If you don't want to see people comparing them, too bad - people are comparing them.
If you don't want people to post the scores, too bad - people will always post the scores whether you like it or not.
If you don't like the SAT score threads, don't go into them at all.
If you "refuse to be identified, judged and whatever else by stupid SAT scores", too bad - you will be by the adcoms (only a little bit).

Uhhhh, these may be scores from a test we took on one Saturday morning of our lives, but they are important scores.

i am applying to brown for ED

NoFX
I have ok scores. Good enough for Columbia.
I still hate the SATs though. And I can have my opinion about them.
