<p>Cornell has placed me on the waiting list for financial awards. I wish to know what are my odds of getting the aid in the end, as Cornell is my best and definite choice, but without the aid it is likely that I cant afford it.

<p>Sorry to be blunt but your chances are most likely bleak. Cornell offers limited financial aid to intl’s, I believe last year’s was roughly 55. The budget every year is roughly $10 million for the whole int’l student body which isn’t too much. I’m an international student ambassador, so you may trust that information. Though, I can imagine some intl’s choosing other reputable schools and leaving room for you. Hence, you can hope but just don’t get it too high. </p>
