International Students with large financial need

Hi, guys.
I opened this thread so that international students applying to the United States may speak about their experiences with different colleges’ financial aid packages and what policies the universities displayed on their website and what deviations have been observed from those policies.
Universities I’ve applied to: Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, Duke, Tufts, Rochester, Drexel.

Hi, another international here! I’m 99% sure I’m about to be rejected from 7 colleges tonight!

Personal experience with Drexel University. (Please understand that these are facts from how my application has been dealt)
Website Information: International applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships when they complete their admission application, and they are encouraged to complete the CSS PROFILE to be considered for need-based grants.

Further actions: Wanted to appeal for more, but they have a set criteria for appeal which are all extreme situations like divorce, unemployment, death of parents. Hence no appeal.

Experience of 3 other accepted students.
