Couple questions.

Are there a lot of international students at Reed? And do they blend in well or do they just stick out like a sore thumb?

Are there a lot of international students at Reed? And do they blend in well or do they just stick out like a sore thumb?

Reed accepts 20-25 international students each year. That’s between 80 and a 100, at any given time. I’d say that’s about standard at most LACs of a similar size.

Compared to USC or UIUC, that’s pretty small, but then those are bigger schools that attract a fair number of full-pay international students. (especially UIUC)

Reed actually accepts around 100 international students per year, but not all of them choose to attend. In the last couple of years, the number of incoming international students has risen to 25-30.

AWESOME!

So, that would be an acceptance rate that’s >10%. :D

Does that figure include American expats?

As a matter of fact, yes it does.

Still, ~100 would imply that they do have funding available for more than ~25 (non-American, haha) international students. Or is that just wishful thinking?

Never saw any data regarding international applicants, other than that one page which had the “20-25” figure.
