I’ve narrowed down my top choices of colleges and University of Washington is definitely up there, I love the state, campus, and the school in general. The biggest factor and problem though is the major; I plan on majoring in international studies. I know they have a school in it, and I’ve read that it’s quite competitive, but how good is it? What kind of opportunity and work does this program give? My other top choice is Indiana University which I see a ton of information on, but the state and school is second compared to Udub. Really any information on the International Studies program would be awesome, or a program that Washington provides that’s fairly similar.
The Jackson School of International Studies at the UW is one of the finest in the country and a member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs.

Seems like there is always an interesting lecture or panel discussion on the calendar. Robin Wright is speaking there this evening.
Wow I didn’t know that it’s were a member of aspsia!! Does that mean that the school is directed towards graduate students or is it just as focused on undergrads?
It is just as focused on undergraduates.
“The Jackson School offers seven majors and 16 minors (as well as a Tri-Campus minor in Human Rights) in international studies at the undergraduate level, as well as 10 Masters level programs and a Ph.D. Program.”
