International transfer doubt!

I'm from Brazil and I want to transfer to Trinity. However I need full ride. I've just started my sophomore year and my current GPA is 3.7 uw ( we don't calculate gpa here in Brazil, but I tried to estimate one). My ACT score is 27 (took it last year), and my TOEFL is 106 ( the perfect score is 120, and intl's can choose to send either the SAT/ACT or the TOEFL). I'm confident about my stat's, but my financial need is the only thing that's keeping from applying.

Do you know if there is any brazilian student at Trinity? Is being brazilian and of hispanic and italian origin (my great-grandparents were from Spain and Italy) a hook? I'm also a non-traditional student (I'm 22 and finished high school in december 2007).

Considering that I need full financial aid (the most my family can afford is US$8000 per year), do you think I stand any chances or it's a waste of time and money applying to Trinity? Thank you.

Your question would be worth a call to the admissions office, to find out how they handle financial aid for international students. Trinity does meet demonstrated need for domestic.

Your status as a non-traditional student would not be an issue for admissions.

If Trinity is your dream you should at least apply.

I sent 'em an e-mail and they told me that they also meet the demonstrated need of intl’s and it is possible to receive full financial aid. So, I’ll apply and see how it goes. I hope I will be at Trinity next year.
