Hi everyone,

I'm a secondary/high school student in the UK and wiill be going nto Year 13/senior year next academic year.

I'm been doing some research and have been considering sending supplementary music materials to universities alongside my Common App.

However, I'm by no means a child prodigy, so I was wondering, what kind of minimum ABRSM grade on the piano/violin would I have to have reached for a supplementary recording to be considered acceptable? (ABRSM is a music board in the UK)

I know that if you send a bad supplementary it could negatively impact your Common App so I'd rather not send one at all then send one that would be looked at unfavourably!

I'm doing a Grade 6 exam in a couple of weeks and am looking to do grade 5 next year on the violin, but of course I'm looking to practise a lot more over summer.

Thanks!
