interesting question!

I needed to take the TOEFL iBT and got 117. How will the admission committee see this, will it be to my advantage or doesnt it matter since it isnt required?

I would think a 720 CR proves some English proficiency. :) The SAT CR and the TOEFL are to my knowledge not comparable, since one is made for native speakers and the other is made for international students.

I have read somewhere that the TOEFL is much easier than the CR, could someone confirm this?

^ It depends. I found both relatively easy. The speaking part of the Toefl can be hard though, especially if you've never been to an english-speaking country.

1991 are you applying for the class of 2013?
if so don't take the toefl, your cr/writing scores are fine. if not think about if you believe it to be necessary. I found the Toefl to be a waste of money, and this money is something you can easily save if you needn't take the toefl.

cookie and cake what's your cr/writ score??

TOEFL is a lot easier than SAT CR.
