I got deferred. In some way, I felt that I didn't deserve a mere "defer" because I've put in months of effort into the application process, but I have to learn to move on. Any other international student here who cares to share? :)

Yale deferred a huge portion of internationals last year, from my interactions with the internationals here at Yale now. i.e., purportedly higher than normal population... but difficult to accurately say. Again, a great many people are deferred, especially with higher applicant EA numbers this year.

Rejected. Just put my stats in the final decision thread. Come on, a rejection or a deferral at Yale is not the end of the world. This is one of the most wanted schools from the planet. There are so many other beautiful colleges in the US to choose from.

deffered from singapore
sort of expected this but my love for yale continues
cozmo, can you provide mor information about internationals being deffered and how many are accepted from the deferred international pool
thanks

Congrats lapoubelle! Asain Australia deferred. Congrats to those who got in, commiserations to those who didn't. It's a tough one. I'm happy that Yale is giving me a second chance at admissions though.

YALE '12!!! Well...I'll need to check back in April for that.
