I've been in the US since elementary school but am an international students..There has been a series of unfortunate event with the Permanant Residence process. Anyways, when the colleges look at the admissions, I heard there is a seperate pool of "internationals in US" and that it is generally more competitive than the "internationals outside of US" pool (<- from an admission officer who used to work at Vassar). Why is that so?

Oh God my friend, we are stuck in the same situation right now

I moved here with my parents in 6th grade (right now 10th) and I am currently an F2 visa holder

I am so worried because I am working very hard in school but I learned I dont go through the same process my friends are having

I am pretty much similar to a good American student minus the status.

If anyone had similar experience please share!
