Haha. I should've put Reach/Halfmatch because I kind of underestimated those colleges. Wow I didn't know that IUB is that well-known. Do you know whether it's good? I'm not really sure.

Princeton-Safety

Haha... in my dreams:P

Mount Holyoke is still a women's college. It hasn't gone coed like Vassar has or been absorbed by another university like Radcliffe. Okay...I'm a little confused now because a '05 senior is now in Madrid, but he's attending the St. Louis University campus there. Not WUStL, which I don't think has other campuses though it might have exchange programs...? Oh, well. shrug

Colorado University. Never heard of it..I think I've heard of Colorado College which I think is another school offering One Course At A Time like Cornell College. Unsure about American University. I have heard, though, that intels go there, too and it's not diversity scarce as some other places.

Penn State - I'm not completely certain how competitive that is for OOS applicants, much less international ones. It could be a match out of the ones you listed. It does seem like a good bet. For pre-med I'd recommend Clark Uni in Massachusetts or Juniata College in Pennsylvania.

vemafe - I heard IUB's one of the better known English-medium universities in Europe, excluding the ones in the UK. I'm unsure about how well regarded it is, though. The senior I was talkin' about likes it there, though.

My big sis is at Mt Holyoke so it's pretty much my 1st choice. I'm also applying to Williams (yikes!!) because it's need blind for international students (but i doubt i'll get in though..)

Not to be crass, but I do wonder what the application list is for those who got deferred... sigh I bet it's high ranking universities/LAC's which only cut down my chances of being admitted. :p

is this a refference to me, by any chance? :p

Sweetie, it's a reference to everybody. :D Mostly everybody will be aiming for high-up LAC's, where my reaches are so... sniffles

IU Bremen is a good Upcoming University. I know a freshman at IUB... According to him, IUB has been ranked number 1 in Humanities course in Germany...and this year its going to be ranked for Sci/Engg...and according to the common perception there in Germany, it will most probably be in the top 5. PLUS...it offers a lot of financial aid to intells... :)

anyone applying to berea? i'm!
cuz this is the only one that doesn't require financial affidavit of support

I thought of it, but then I figured I needed a traditional college experience.

WOW, how can you find time for so many list of schools? Did you already graduate from a high school?

Sooo.... how many people here are applying to Yale??? I read loooots!
Anyways I just graduated from school last friday!! This are the places to where I am applying:

Yale

U.of Chicago

Cornell

Vassar

Why are you guys applying to so many schools? I´ve seen people listing over 8! My school doesn´t allow us to apply to more than 6!
Anyways, does anyone know whether each university to which we apply know where else have we applied? I heard from my counselor and my head of year that thy do...how I have nooo idea...anyone?

Javy: my school year ends in May.

arellav: Some schools ask on their application/supplemnt (if they're Common App schools), where else are you applying. It's up to your own discretion to put down which schools you want.

I'm applying to many because I'm not a top scholar, and I'm in mucho need of money, so my schools hopefully are broad enough that I'm offered either merit aid or finaid.

Hey, is anyone applying to IU Bremen? I got mail from them too... Wondering if I should apply.

yes
I will be applying there :)

Yes, my school recommend a maximum of 6 schools, although there's some leeway to go up to 8. Beyond that, oh well, I think you will have to write your own recommendations. :p

Enilit... I think you should apply since IUB is pretty generous with grants and as well as loans to international students.

Applying to (in coming December)

kenyon_10: hm... will wait for prosprectus to arrive :)

Yeah, haha but I think you better hurry... cause IUB operates on a rolling admissions and grants are usually near exhaustion towards the end of the admissions cycle.
