<p>Well I'm not saying that they don't know what they're doing. It's just that they weren't helpful in this case. I found the solution by googling (which was hard to do when I don't have the internet or access to a computer nearby) for a way to restore InstallShield. I was hoping that they could tell me a method within a few minutes. But still, I have no idea whether what I did would cause any long term problems. lol. But as of now, it seems like it solved all my InstallShield related issues.</p>
<p>Btw, I actually walked to STC and asked in person. They were friendly; but what really irritated me is that they tell me that it's viruses or spyware that corrupted my computer, or that it was the firewall. That makes me wonder though... is that really such a prevalent problem??</p>
<p>(Just fyi, the problem was STCPM doesn't load after the restart prompted by the installer. It was as if nothing happened --- no indication of any kind in Add/Remove or Program Files folder.)</p>
