I'm currently an 11th grader who's looking for an internship for this summer. I don't really care if it's paid or not, but I'd like some suggestions to where I could find an internship for a high school student.

i got a finance internship at ernst & young…but it was hard getting it as a high school student; you have to impress the ceo to get it because they only accept university juniors and seniors…getting an internship at finance is pretty damn hard…but i believe that you can get into marketing fairly easily…you just have to know the basics i.e. the 4P’s of marketing, elasticity, etc. when you do, you might want to consider interning at magazines and start-ups as a marketing intern…you’ll want prestigious magazines…but if you get into a start-up, make sure that you will get a great recommendation etter from one of the employees (preferably the boss).

happy hunting :D

oh yeah…make sure that you state that you won’t need a salary…otherwise, a start-up would be reluctant to take you…and don’t say that you wouldn’t mind taking no salary if a magazine company offered you one…they might think that you are just some know-it-all high school kid…just go with the flow

Yeah I agree, it’s pretty hard to get an internship as a high school student. I suggest that you check with you contacts/friends of friends/parents of friends to see if they know somewhere you can apply.

They’ll probably help you out!
