Does anyone know a list of research or internship opportunities that I can apply to [I will be a 10th grader next year]? I'm particularly interested in Medicine, but really any internship or research opportunity related to science would be great as well. If there's already a thread, could someone please post the link to refer me to it? If it helps, I live in New Jersey, so I'm not really looking at anything international. Thanks.

kthx. 10 char

a) There’s not much out there for someone with that little experience, and b) you would need to start looking in February or March; June is way too late to find anything.

go to “Summer Programs” Forum for a list of summer programs involved in research or something like it.

im looking for things for next year. well don’t they take high school students as interns?

You can probably contact professors from universities near you. Or there are programs like RSI or HSHSP (actually those are the only two I know of). I went to HSHSP and it was a great research experience.

You can always contact a local university/hospital (even now because they dont have a formal application process)

Like the above user mentioned, there are some elite programs near you, most notably RSI. However, RSI is usually for 11th graders, so youll have to wait another year.

RSI, SSP, YESS, MITES (minorities), HSHSP, local professors, etc. Go to Summer Programs and find info there.
