Internship/Research Opportunities

Does anyone know a list of research or internship opportunities that I can apply to [I will be a 10th grader next year]? I'm particularly interested in Medicine, but really any internship or research opportunity related to science would be great as well. If there's already a thread, could someone please post the link to refer me to it? If it helps, I live in New Jersey, so I'm not really looking at anything international. Thanks.

The only way you will find something is if you know a research who will allow you to come work in his lab, which is not impossible.

How do I find those people? do they have places where you can contact them or like email them?

You’re young so that will make things difficult. Lots of people will probably come and tell you there is no way a high school student can find an internship, but it is definitely possible. I don’t know much about the Medicine field, but I’d suggest asking a hospital, lab, etc near you. Just try calling them!
If you don’t find anything you can at the least volunteer at a hospital. Sometimes, if you tell them you want to be a doctor (or whatever it is you want to do), they will let you actually work in the pharmacy, or maybe “shadow” one of the doctors.
Good Luck  and I know this wasn’t much help so sorry!

Hey, if you’re still looking for something check out this link: [SchoolHacking – Summer Hacking – No Job? No Problem](http://www.schoolhacking.com/?p=7)

The first suggestion listed is a database of a bunch of emerging research opportunities. Good luck!
