Internships at Google for UCLA Engineering students

Does anyone know if undergraduate students at UCLA Engineering can get summer internships/or part time year long internships at Google Santa Monica or similar types of tech companies? Does this happen or is it just for graduate students?

IIRC, Google had an info session a couple of months back, so they do recruit at UCLA. I'm not sure if they offer part-time year long internships, but you can look at their [website[/url]. You can view a list of other tech companies that recruit on campus by checking out the list of participating employers at the career fairs:

I'm sure you won't have too much of a hard time finding a job anywhere, as long as you fit what the employer is looking for.

I believe UPE is hosting a Google API workshop at 3 PM, located at BH 4760.

a google representative will be hosting it so i'm sure you can ask any specific questions if you're interested in an internship.

I believe Google (and Microsoft) are extremely competitive. As for Google, I read that the majority of internships are offered to undergraduate seniors and graduate students.

I'm a Google student representative for UCLA, so I am really getting a kick out of these replies...

Google recruits at UCLA for both summer internships and full-time, among both undergrads and graduate CS/CSE/EE students, for primarily Mountain View and Santa Monica. (I actually interviewed for an internship last year, but didn't make the cut, even with my connections.) I know only one undergrad and one graduate student who obtained a Software Engineering internship, both based in Mountain View. Microsoft SDE/SDET internships in Redmond, WA are more common among UCLA students.

hey sorry this is not perfectly related but i just dont want a whole new thread for it...
Does NASA come in and recruit at UCLA?

IIRC, NASA had an info session last quarter. Maybe it was JPL?
