So, I looked into the UCSB career services website under internships, and all they do is give you links to other internship sites. Does this mean that UCSB doesn't have any exclusive internships to hand out to its students?

Did you look on GauchoLink, or just click the “Internships” link on the side of the page?
[Welcome to Career Services](http://career.ucsb.edu/students/gaucholink.html)

There are only a few UCSB-related internships currently listed (search “all listings,” and then apply the “on-campus jobs” filter) .

I’d also look around departmental websites to see if they have any information.

I didn’t mean on-campus jobs, I meant like internships where recruiters actually go to UCSB looking for people to become interns and then students apply for those spots.

Oh. Sorry about that.

If you want to meet recruiters, you can go to the career fairs that we have every quarter: [Welcome to Career Services](http://career.ucsb.edu/students/careerfairs/index.html)

Some of those have more of an emphasis on soon-to-be graduates, but I believe there are internship opportunities at some of them. Companies sometimes offer their own informational sessions in order to recruit students (I think Microsoft did something like this before). In any case, the people at the Career Center know about all of this far better than I do.

I see, thanks for the info!

Also take a look at the resources at [UCSB Undergraduate Research](http://research.ucsb.edu/undergrad/funding/funding_opportunities.shtml)

For technical students, there is a newsletter sent out periodically that lists lots of job and internship opportunities. You can sign up at https://ucsb.edu/mailman/listinfo/tech-opps
