hey, i have my interview tomorrow for georgetown, and i was wondering if anyone had theirs already...first, i wanna know if i should like wear a suit, or just slacks and a polo or something? then, if anybody knows, what type of questions do they ask in the interview, and how is the meeting set up? is it just a discussion type thing, or is it just my interviewer firing questions at me? i would appreciate any help...thanks

Save the suit for grad school, buck-o. A nice polo or dress shirt with slacks would work just fine. You know all the questions in those "How to prepare for interviews" books? Those are pretty much the questions that'll be pulled for the interview. Also, if you're lucky enough to get an infamous awesome interviewer, your conversation will turn into a fun chat over an interrogation. Good luck!

i don't have any interview books, really, could anybody who did the interview or anything tell me what questions were asked or anything?

I don't have any interview books, and I don't think you particularly need them.

I would instead take 15-30 minutes and reflect on your high school experience and think about what you want out of college. Remember everything you've done, what's mattered to you, what will matter to you, and just generally recall experiences.

The interview is not a trick- you will be asked questions on a subject you know very well- yourself.

^ Very good advice.

One of the questions that all of my friends and I had at our interview was, "What are the books that you have read recently?" Try to have a mental list with a little something about each book, in case the interviewer is curious or wants to know more about a certain title.

What other schools are you applying to? What is the order of these schools on your personal preference list?

Why do you want to go to Georgetown?

What is the most meaningful act of community service that you've done?

These are a few of the questions that I had at my interview.

interview went really well! the guy was awesome, really nice, just moved into a conversation about georgetown, told me right from the beginning that interview could only help me, and he was really happy that i brought my c. vitae, and at the end he said he thought i would be a great addition to georgetown...but he prolly says that to everyone he interviews, but im not gonna think about that right now...THANKS for all your help!

I'm glad to hear it went well. :) Good luck!

thank you very much...had my tufts interview today...started off by talking about how his daughter chose georgetown over tufts! didn't seem mad at all though, good icrebreaker, knew he wasn't completely serious...that interview went really well...as well...
