The Interview

Hello, everyone. I have my interview this Tuesday, and I have a few question that I am sure some people on here can answer. What is the proper attire for the interview? I am being interviewed at the interviewer's office (he's an othopedic surgeon). Also, should I bring my resum? with me? Thanks in advance!

dress shirt, jacket, shoes, khakis, and a tie....Bring your resume

All I wore was a short sleeve dress shirt, school tie, khakis, basketball shoes, and army belt. This was in San Francisco though, so maybe other parts of the country are more uptight?

The GTown interviews arent a big deal, I wore Topsiders, khakis, an Oxford, and a VNeck sweater. Mine went pretty well I got lost for 30 minutes along the way, but the interview lasted an hour and a half.

How does an interview last that long? What do you do for that long?

as a girl, i wore really nice jeans, ballet flats, a v-neck sweater with a white button down underneath, and a nice coat. it was at starbucks so pretty informal, and it only lasted like 25 minutes.

what types of questions do they ask (for a prospective MSB student)?

yup! mine was at starbucks too and the alum told me it was informal =] like everyone else said if it's at his office then a bit nicer.

@ finance: I am almost 100% sure that questions don't vary with school since the alum probably isn't from your school. The closest they'll probably ask you is why you're looking to do business at MSB? They just want to know what you want to study and why? Simple questions, don't sweat it.

Mine actually was from the same school (SFS). It was really informal and he was hella chill. He only graduated in 03 so he was pretty young. It wasn't really an interview for me, more of a conversation. Like he gave me advice about stuff to put in my essay and what he thought my chances were. Then we talked about the social scene and the opportunities after graduation. It was pretty sick, and lasted 45 minutes.

We talked about everything he guy went to high school with Bill Clinton, he asked about my mom being an interviewer, my high school, Italian, hopefully hour and a half is a good sign.

i was about 15 minutes late... interview lasted about maybe 15 minutes, probably closer to 10. they were (i had 2 interviewers) laid back, chill... basically we just talked about why georgetown.

everyone here was like yea, hour long interview with g-town today.... so i kinda freaked out. i mean my interview was extremely short and we didnt really get personal like , well, those who got interviewed above ^^^

but guess what i got in! so its all good. haha my point is, relax, its not that big of a deal, just dress decently, be polite, all the obvious, common sense stuff - i dont think the interviews are that important, esp. if you compare my case to the others...

pajama pants and an undershirt
