My interviewer suggested we find a cafe at the resort she’s staying at; however, I’m not sure she knows the resort is a casino. Not only would any cafe in the casino be noisy and smoke filled, but also I’m not sure minors can just walk around the casino alone except in the lobby areas. Should I suggest another place? Also, I believe my interviewer flew to my location for a conference and may not have her own transportation if we were to go somewhere else.
Guess the interview is a real gamble…
Yes, if it’s a casino you wouldn’t be allowed inside at all. Let your interviewer known. There may be a non casino care somewhere?
Its hard to imagine that a Princeton grad attending a conference is not aware the resort is a casino. You would likely be fine in the hotel/restaurant part of the resort, but the funny thing about casinos is there are very few places to sit other than at gambling tables and/or slot machines. If you live in the area, scope out a nearby starbucks or library or something and suggest those as a meeting place.
In any case, the casino is a good setting for an interview.
